Text Box: Welcome to Kindergarten!
Text Box: Welcome to the wonderful world of Kindergarten! The Isaacson Insider is our classroom newsletter that is published regularly. The newsletter and our newly created classroom website will keep you informed of our classroom learning experiences. Please use these resources to spark conversations with your child about their learning at school.
I am just as excited about the first day of school as I was fourteen years ago when I began my teaching career. This year marks my eleventh year teaching in Sturgis and my sixth teaching Kindergarten at Francis Case. I am extremely proud of our wonderful school community and of the opportunity to teach here. I am especially excited this year because my youngest daughter, Emma, is also beginning school at Francis Case!
Just a bit about me...I had a relaxing summer here in Sturgis. My family recently moved from Deadwood to Sturgis, so I spent a lot of time organizing, mowing the yard, and chauffeuring my kids to many local events and activities. I am active in several organizations and am serving as the Past- President of the South Dakota Reading Council. I enjoy reading, gardening, cooking, and home-improving! My contact information is at the top right-hand corner of every newsletter and at our classroom website: http://ci009.k12.sd.us/home.htm Feel free to contact me at any time if you have question or concerns!

Text Box: Our First Week...

We are committed to providing your child(ren) with the best learning experience possible.  To accomplish this goal we begin our year with an alternative first week schedule.  The schedule eases the transition for the children and more importantly allows the teaching team valuable time to assess and understand the individual and unique learning needs of each child in Kindergarten.  During the first week we’ll learn many new routines, introduce ourselves, and meet many new teachers.  The morning and afternoon sections will be divided into AM A & B and PM A & B.  Your child’s first week schedule will be available at open house.  Please plan to attend!  The following is the alternative schedule for the first week:

We will have our first “regular” day of Kindergarten
